S & M Horse Transport is a family owned business located in Spreyton, Tasmania which is a short 10 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania.
Offering local and interstate services incorporating transport to and from stud farms, yearling/racehorse sales, general paddock work and race day services.
OUR STAFF
Steven Davis has over 30 years experience in the horse industry and holds both a Thoroughbred Trainer’s and Harness Trainer/Drivers licence and experienced horse breaker.
Kelvin Sanderson also has over 30 years in the horse industry. Taught by esteemed horsemen John & Shane Patterson, Kelvin rode successfully throughout Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales during his career. Recently retired from race day riding Kelvin continues to ride trackwork.
As we continue to grow our business we are able to offer regular services to and from even more locations.
OUR FACILITIES
Short or long term agistment is available on our property with large paddocks, smaller walk-in/walk-out yards and stabling. Also available on site is a 600m all weather jog track.
We are located a short 5 minutes from Spreyton Park Thoroughbred Race Track and the Devonport Paceway with Moorlands Beach just 15
minutes away.
Our Melbourne Depot just a 5 minute drive from Tullamarine Airport also offers small paddocks, stabling and undercover yards. Should you
wish to travel with your horse, beautiful accommodation is also available on site by contacting Pine Lodge Farmhouse B & B.
S & M Horse Transport pride ourselves on providing a safe and reliable service and our purpose built Isuzu and Hino 8 horse trucks ensure a safe comfortable journey. Our trucks are serviced regularly and maintained to the highest standard. Every truck is meticulously cleaned and inspected before each run.
